First Ever Alexander Wang Campaign “Image Piece”

19 Jan

For the first time ever, Alexander Wang is coming out with not one but  two new promotional ventures to add to his kitty

First will be his first-ever print ad, exclusive to Interview Magazine’s March issue, and Second is a billboard which will be unveiled at the New York intersection of Lafayette and Great Jones Streets on Feb. 7.

As Alexander Wang hates the word advertising, he says “We restrained from using those words, because you set yourself up for doing things in a systematic way — like rolling out ads in the magazines certain times of the year,” who prefers the term “image piece.” “For us, it’s about testing the waters and doing something out of the box.”

The four images, shot by Craig McDean, feature model Aymeline Valade posing samurai-warrior-like against a spare, sky blue background. “We desaturated the colors, even drained her skin color a little bit, to make everything a little more austere,” explained Wang.

A video of the shoot is also set to come out on March 1.

I don’t know about you guys, but I am definitely jumping here with excitement.

lets wait and watch for more updates.
